- 2 and 1/2 tablespoons of wheat flour to bread
- 1/4 cup (tea) fine flour
- 150 g of diced snack cheese
- 2 tablespoons water at room temperature
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 and 1/2 tablespoon of butter
- 2 eggs
- frying oil
Method of preparation
Put the butter in a pan and bring to low heat until it has melted.
Add the 1/4 cup (tea) of wheat flour and mix everything with the help of a spatula.
Increase the heat slightly and cook the mixture over medium heat for another 3 minutes.
Then add the milk gradually, stirring constantly until it forms a smooth and homogeneous mass.
Cook the dough until it begins to peel off the bottom of the pan.
Transfer the dough to a bowl and refrigerate for about 40 minutes.
In a separate container, place eggs and water and beat lightly.
In two other containers, place the wheat flour to pat into one and the flour into another.
Take some dough, open it in the palm of the hand, fill with the cheese cube and close, modeling the croquette.
You can replace the snack type cheese with rennet cheese!
Pass each croquette first on the wheat flour, then on the beaten egg, and finally on the flour.
For an even more crusty bun, pass the croquettes back into the beaten egg and thread flour.
In a pan with hot oil, place the croquettes to fry until golden brown.
Drain excess oil with paper towels.
At the time of serving, do not forget the sauces to accompany: sweet mustard, guava ketchup, barbecue and seasoned mayonnaise are a great request!
